Auas Valley Shopping Mall gives back

e66 iwaThe Auas Valley Shopping Mall hosted a Late Night Shopping Event, at which
N$11 150 was raised towards a charity organisation. The donation was presented in the form of groceries to the Orlindi Orphanage, located in Donkerhoek Windhoek, by the Auas Valley Management Team on Tuesday the 30th of July 2019.
On the evening of the Late Night Shopping Event a Potjie’tjie Competition and a Wine Tasting was held, from which the donated funds were raised. The Corporate teams that made this gesture of goodwill possible were Waltons, Agra Windhoek, FNB, Future Media, Hartlief, Wordpress, SafariDen, Soup-A Stars, The Namibian and Nouveau Wines.
The Orlindi Orphanage which is a place of safety was established in 1995 by Claudia Namises. The orphanage currently houses between 28 and 35 disadvantaged girls and boys, aged between 0 and 18 years. The Orphanage aims to prepare the children for their future life, to procure them a place in a surrogate family and to help them find a way into normal life.
